EXPLORING FOOD HERITAGE AT THE SPIER SECRET FESTIVAL
The 2016 Spier Secret Festival’s speakers will be exploring how food is an intrinsic part of our cultural history and identity. The food and wine event – a day of workshops, talks, eating and drinking – will be held on Sunday 6 November in Johannesburg.
“As a farm with a proud winemaking history of more than 300 years, we feel it’s important to reconnect people with their own rich food heritage,” Spier’s Cellar Master, Frans Smit, says. “Food is a powerful way of celebrating culture, and keeping it alive. It gives us a profound understanding of who we are and where we come from.”
