Local and international experts on food and wine will present talks, workshops, tastings and dinner events at the Spier Secret Festival’s conference which returns to Spier wine farm on Friday 24 October 2014. The Spier Secret Market offers the finest local food and produce and a selection of Spier’s wine on Saturday 25 October.
The Festival is also a celebration of Spier’s rich vinous heritage – which is almost as old as the farm itself. Attendees will be able to taste and learn about Spier 21 Gables, Spier’s flagship wine range named after the historic gables on the farm, focusing on Chenin Blanc and Pinotage, South Africa’s two heritage varietals.
Continuing its focus on ethical food production, the Spier Secret conference aims to explore what concepts like artisanal and sustainability really mean to those who farm, cook and enjoy food.
